For people to follow it??
Obviously I need more witty and sharp comments to attract them.
I'm not sensing much potential for those in what I have planned for today...filling the new drawers I bought yesterday with Rosie's clothes and then choosing appropriate attire and doing my hair ready for a new driver's licence photo.

I wouldn't worry about the 'following' thing. I'm not sure what benefit there is in being a 'follower' so I don't do it any more.
Do you have a site meter? Put one on then you can see if people are reading. Get linked to a couple of times and you'll build your audience from there. It can take a while.
I'm following! Mostly because that is what I need to do to get your updates in Blogger's Reading List. How do other people keep up with blogs? Click around every so often looking for new entries?
